Introducing "GrüvTōnz," a vibrant local cover band that defies age with its infectious energy and diverse musical palette. This dynamic group features a seasoned core of musicians, whose decades of experience bring a rich depth to their performances. Complementing this wisdom is the influence of an energetic 20something, injecting a fresh, contemporary spark into the band's sound and stage presence. GrüvTōnz specializes in delivering upbeat and danceable hits mostly from the 70s, guaranteed to get any crowd moving, while also seamlessly weaving in the occasional rock anthem and many soulful R&B classics to keep the audience engaged and entertained throughout their sets. Our music spans multiple genres including R&B, Funk, Soul, Rock, etc. At one of our shows [or your private event] you may hear songs like: Mr. Magic by Amy Winehouse, Boogie on Reggae Woman by Stevie Wonder, Black Magic Woman by Carlos Santana, Good Times by Chic, Venus by Shocking Blue, Funk #49 by James Gang or I’d Rather Go Blind by Etta James to name a few.

Barbara Burns: Barbara is captivating! Celebrated for her powerful and emotive singing style, often drawing comparisons to rock legends Stevie Nicks and Janis Joplin due to her raw energy and soulful delivery. Her deep appreciation for the Queen of Soul, Aretha Franklin, whose influence is evident in Burns's vocal agility and heartfelt interpretations of various genres. Whether performing R&B, Blues, Rock or anything in between, Burns consistently imbues her music with a palpable passion, leaving audiences deeply moved by her unique blend of rock grit and R&B soul.

Brad Schneider: On Bass we have a seasoned musician and audio professional with deep roots in the Northern California music scene. We call him the ‘OG’. He previously owned and operated a music production studio in Paradise, CA, where he contributed to numerous local projects and nurtured emerging talent. Throughout his career, Schneider has been an active participant in multiple local bands, showcasing his diverse musical talents and contributing to the vibrant local music community. His experience spans both the creative and technical aspects of music, from performance to sound engineering and production.

Todd Greene: On Keys & Harmonica is a dynamic musician whose lifelong devotion to piano and keyboards fuels his energetic performances. He pairs that foundation with the soulful wail of the harmonica, adding a distinctive voice to his sound. Known for a lively stage presence and an ability to rock—no geology degree required, though Todd makes it look like it helps—his dual passions give his music an earthy, grounded quality that connects with audiences.

Giana Lang: Gigi is a dynamic young vocalist [lead and background] whose sound belies her age: barely in her twenties, she brings 15 years of musical experience shaped by international choir tours, voice training, and years at the keys; Gigi blends classical discipline with contemporary flair, delivering clean and crisp performances, forged in global concert halls and late-night rehearsal rooms, making her a pleasure to listen to.

Michael Lang: Mike is our lead guitarist, lead and background vocalist, and occasionally other instruments, who adds color to the sound. His guitar balances funky rhythm, crunchy riffs and melodic solos. Mike also manages most of the ‘band stuff’ as he possesses the organizational skills and energy of a well caffeinated soccer Mom.
